Welcome to my blog where I will discuss art, painting, exploring, experimenting . . . basically all of my experiences with this passion I feel for creating art. I hope you will join me in my journey. Enjoy!                                 A few months ago, after not being able to paint on a regular basis, my husband knowing I was in a "slump" of sorts promised to "give me something to paint that would inspire me." He then came out with a couple of his guitars, a stool and a camera for me to start shooting photos of him. Most often I paint animals - or people with their animals - but not that many straight out portraits. But I am passionate about art and about this man, so I decided to take a risk (and the challenge) of creating a portrait of him doing something he is passionate about. I also took a risk with bolder colors to express that passion and the music itself. I really think it all worked. We're both happy with the piece and it even was recently selected for a juried exhibition!
